Project Scope:
   To use the Use Tax on asphalt overlays. 

Project Funding:
   USE Tax

Project Funding Amount: $4,500,000.00

   As part of the 2017 USE TAX Resurfacing Program, 4.5 Million of the Street Enhancement Use Tax recently passed by the voters will be utilized to resurface ~21 miles of city streets with asphalt. Advertisement for bids for the USE TAX Program was on March 19 and bid opening was on April 6, with Herzog Contracting being the successful bidder. Council approval was on May 8 and the Notice to Proceed was issued on May 16. Herzog has completed ~100% of the contract work to date. The bid opening for the typical annual street resurfacing program was on January 12 and has a ~$2.7 Million contract that will provide ~10-12 miles of asphalt street resurfacing. These two projects will provide street resurfacing for a combined total of ~31-33 miles.
